School’s Out — Summer Begins

This morning I looked at my phone and turned off the alarm for the week. Those 5 am wake-up calls were done for at least a couple of months. I have the chance to relax and destress from the school year.

Being a teacher, the summer is never entirely my own. I can take professional development courses for free, thanks to my former university. These courses are going to go towards my continuing education hours.

Afterward, we will take some quick trips to show Isaiah the east coast, visit family, and head to a camp for transracial adoptive families. We are so grateful to PACT for asking us to come and funding our way there. My parents were sweet with an end-of-the-year gift; thus, we could have a fun day as a family.

The kid will be going to summer camp. He’s so excited. We’re excited for him. He loves his friends at camp. And we love the emotional support he’s given.

I will be using more of this page again. Mainly to write my summer thoughts and so encouraging words. And maybe write some book reviews. :)

Lamentations 3:21–23. “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
